So here's the way it all went down... As you can clearly see from the following pictures...
Kyra said, (insert sweet voice) "I'd really like to go on a desert safari." And being the excellent listener that I am, I took the advice of my best man and said, "Honey, if a desert safari will make you happy, then that will make me happy."
Hmm, how can I get us to the desert? After pondering my options, I deci

ded that dressing in authentic attire and hitching a ride was definitely the way to go. Snapshot numero uno. Because I looked so good, I ended up snagging us a ride in a really sweet Land Cruiser that looked like a touring service but really wasn't because I hitched the ride. Remember? Due to the sweetness of my success, Kyra decided that a kiss on the cheek was in order. You see, my wife is an outlaw like me. Kissing in public in Dubai is as illegal as hitching rides. But that's how we roll.
We ended up hot rodding the Land Cruiser

through the desert on the most awesome sand dunes I've ever seen. If you've been following our Dubai adventures then you've seen a lot of glitz and glamour. But don't forget that Dubai sits smack dab in the middle of a hot, enormous desert. The dunes are a giant playground for any type of off-road vehicle. We saw dune buggies, four wheelers, jeeps, land cruisers and even the popular camelus dromedaries ("camel" for the layman).

So after some serious off road fun on the dunes, we took to the streets to head to a nearby desert camp for some dancing and BBQ. Along the way we encountered some wild camels (pictured) running through the desert. In a classic moment, I pulled my lasso from the back and roped a few just for fun. As you can see, we ended up breaking those wild things and saddling up for a ride.

All in all, I’d say it was a good day.
